Dr. Albert W. Richert Sr., MD
Board Certified Pediatrician

Born and raised in Jennings, Louisiana, Dr. Richert Sr. majored in biochemistry at Louisiana State University before going on to medical school at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. He completed his pediatric internship at Duke in North Carolina and then spent two years of residency at Emory in Atlanta. He moved to Sulphur in 1974 to open Sulphur Pediatric Clinic, which later became The Pediatric Center of Southwest Louisiana.  He and his wife, Gay, have four children.

Dr. Albert W. Richert Jr., MD

A native of Sulphur, Dr. Richert practically grew up at The Pediatric Center. He attended Our Lady's School in Sulphur and then Saint Louis Catholic High School in Lake Charles. He majored in microbiology at LSU and then went on to medical school at LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. He completed the residency program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He moved back to Sulphur and joined his father at The Pediatric Center in July, 2004. His wife, Linley, is also a native of Sulphur, and together they have three children.

Dr. Jenny Thomas, MD
Board Certified Pediatrician

Dr. Thomas hails from Baton Rouge. She majored in microbiology at LSU before attending LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. She completed her pediatric residency at University of Mississippi Medical Center and then joined The Pediatric Center in July of 2005. Her husband, Dr. Ken Thomas, MD, is a Family Practitioner in Sulphur and together they have three children.

Jennette Bergstedt, M.D.
Board Certified Pediatrican

Jennette Bergstedt, M.D. received a Bachelor of Science in Biology at LSU in Shreveport in 1986. She then went on to complete medical school and residency training in pediatrics at LSU in Shreveport. During residency she held the positions of Chief Resident of Pediatrics and forth year Administrative Chief during 1993 and 1994. Dr. Bergstedt was a Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at LSU from February through June 1995. She is board certified in Pediatrics as well as a certified lab director and a fellow in American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr Bergstedt previously practiced at The Pediatric Center from 1995-1996.

Debbie Vincent, CPNP
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Another native of Sulphur, Debbie received her BSN from McNeese and her MSN from University of Alabama at Birmingham. Working along with the physicians, Debbie cares for a wide range of pediatric problems. She has one daughter.

Jenni Lee Stowell, CPNP
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Jenni Lee was raised in Ragley and moved to North Louisiana where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University. After working at Memorial Herman Children's Hospital and the LSU Health Science Center Jenni Lee decided to further her education. In 2009 she earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from University of South Alabama. She and her husband Joey relocated to Southwest Louisiana in 2010 and have one son. Jenni Lee joined The Pediatric Center in 2011.

Greg Ivey
